Chen Shige è autore di molti libri per bambini come The Kings that Owned Almost Everything, The Book of Fairy Tales, The Story Begins, After I Fell Asleep e The Street of the Wind. Ha vinto numerosi premi internazionali come il National Award for Outstanding Children’s Literature, il Bingxin Children’s Literature Award e l’Excellence Award for Top Children’s Writers istituito dal Children’s Literature Magazine. Fa parte della Chinese Writers Association.
